I am headed to Portland to do some things for our adoption.... does it ever end? I have to remind myself daily that there is a sweet little baby at the end of all the paperwork and documents and just keep looking ahead. Aren't these flowers beautiful? What a good reminder of how simple and beautiful the little things are. I hope you all are doing well, did something different and new this week and feel refreshed. I am feeling better, still have a bump on my head, but it is healing. Thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers and love. Have a wonderful Wednesday and a great rest of the week! xoxo

thankful

Ohhhhhh happy monday! Wow, what a weekend I had. I hope yours was better than mine! I found myself in the emergency room after fainting and blacking out. I landed on my head and don't remember much. My dear husband helped me out more than I can explain and I am so grateful for him. Everything looks ok, but I am still very sore and tired. Today I am THANKFUL!

I looked through a variety of blogs yesterday and enjoyed looking at Olivet. Mary is the inspiration behind the blog and I enjoy her fresh looks and her upcoming wedding inspirations. Even though it has been almost 10 years since I got married, it is still fun to look at pictures that remind me of my special day.

I hope you have a beautiful day and take time to tell those dear to you that you "LOVE THEM!" Life is pretty precious and you are always reminded when there is a scary event that happens. I looked at this picture below and just thought how peaceful the room looked. That is how I am going to approach this upcoming week......xx

Oh my goodness! These are the cutest felt flower garlands and hair pieces!! Love them! Pretty Swell is a sweet little shop that I found yesterday. I can just see these hanging in my home.... for any occasion.

good finds

Oh, I have to say life has seemed a little overwhelming lately....how about you? It is so nice to have this little blog to give myself a little time for creativity.  Creativity comes in all forms and mine stems mostly from my home and how I can make it as personal, warm, safe, friendly, comfortable and of course...cute as possible! I think I get the biggest joy out of how I can get the most out of my money for what I put into my home. Luckily....vintage is so in, which means "second hand store!" Yeah!! We found some pretty amazing deals this past weekend, including a sofa for a hundred bucks! Yep! We get it delivered tomorrow, so I will be curious to see how it fits in our family room. If anything, it is comfortable and I can add a couple of pillows and a cute throw....and I am done :) How do you make your home comfortable, cute, friendly, cost-effective and so on? Love to hear your ideas!

 My parents had this chair in our home growing up and now it is in my hubby's office. Fun to get furniture pieces handed down...not bad!

They have amazing prices and they use old wood and different resources to make you fantastic frames. You can even do a custom order. I love the chalkboard frames, so fun!

weekend

Have a great weekend peeps! I hope to get outside and work on the yard a little and maybe take my cruiser for a ride. We are going to go to the mountains with some friends and do some tubing and snow shoeing too...should be fun! Any great plans for you??? I hope so! ENJOY!!!

easter...a little late...

Sooooo...is it spring or is it still winter? Yesterday was beautiful and sunny and today I woke up to snow! Crazy days!!! I wanted to post this picture on monday, but better late than never...right? These paper eggs and ornaments are vintage....I had them when I was a little girl and now they have been given to me. Next year I plan on having a little tree to hang the ornaments on. Have a good one!

My daughter's room.....I love it!

One of my favorites is her little deer picture.....it has been in a lot of different places in our house and now I think it has found a home!! Her bed was mine when I was little, so it is pretty special. My daughter has so much fun hanging up her art work in her room too...so simple, easy and inexpensive to do! Have a happy Wednesday!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. Mine was very busy and fun with good food and good company. I am so excited to report that we sent our Dossier in today for our adoption. I know that doesn't mean much to you....but it means we are getting closer...31 pages of documents sent in today...yikes!

Don't you love this little work space? I do! I can see myself sitting against that beautiful pillow! You gotta love flickr!

It is so fun to see new stores come to our town in Bend, Oregon....So if you live here, please check out this new store called Serendipidy. The owners are sisters and they are the sweetest people you will ever meet! They have paper and little home goods that make your eyes twinkle when you walk into the store.

They are having an open house tomorrow April 2, at 6:00. Go by and check it out at The Old Mill and support our local community!
